County government plays an important role in overseeing mental health services, transportation, and many other services that are important to people with disabilities. Save the date for a Milwaukee County Executive Candidate Forum scheduled for Tuesday, January 14th, at 3 PM at IndependenceFirst, 540 S. 1st street, Milwaukee, WI.  See our flyer for more information and stay tuned for additional details. Assistance with voter registration and voting questions will also be available.

The Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force Annual SOX ROX and Time of the Month Club Collection Drive: Benefiting People who are Homeless

Please bring your donations to:

Please Donate:
• NEW socks for men, women, or children
• Menstrual supplies (tampons and pads)

Why socks and menstrual supplies? These are two of the most needed and least donated items. Both are essential to health, safety, and self-respect. On any given night, 900 people are homeless in Milwaukee, a third (33.5%) living with a diagnosis of mental illness or substance abuse. Socks and menstrual supplies are little things with an amazing impact on people’s well-being.
All supplies go directly to homeless people in shelter and living on the street. The drive is coordinated by Time of the Month Club, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 established in 2012 and operated by MHTF member, Jan Wilberg.

Donations can also be made online at https://timeofthemonthclub.org or by check made out to Time of the Month Club, Inc. mailed to 3269 N. Summit Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53211. Please specify socks or menstrual supplies. Thank you!
